Coating Technology by Bohle

Innovative processing and cleaning concepts improve the coater functionality and deliver outstanding results. The type of air system utilized provides significant process-related advantages eliminating the risk of suspension spray drying. This reduces spray losses and improves coating structure. Tablets are handled with less mechanical stress thanks to the geometry of the pan and the mixing and conveying elements. By changing the rotating direction of the pan, tablets can be discharged completely and without additional fixtures. Even with all these improvements, this is still a coater with a perforated pan which is well known to regulatory authorities as a proven coating process.

Continuous Processing by Bohle

The core of the system is a newly designed GMP-compliant twin-screw extruder, supplied by a continuous mass-controlled powder dosing unit and a continuous liquid dosing unit. The finished granulate falls directly into the continuous rotating vacuum contact dryer, without the usual transport problems. The dryer operates with an innovative blending and dispersing unit to reliably prevent the wet granulate caking to any surface. The final granulate size is then adjusted using the well known Bohle BTS Turbo Sieve.
